Dr. Abhay Markande is currently working in the Netherlands for Royal Zeelandia group as a Corporate Process Technologist. He was awarded a PhD (Process and Chemical Engineering) from University College Cork in 2009.

Dr. Abhay has been working in the food industry for more than 12 years. His past tenure with food industries include Tate and Lyle (Belgium), Nutricia (UK), and Friesland Campina (The Netherlands). Over the years, he has gained expertise in food process technology with focus on process innovation, cost-reduction strategies, and energy-saving solutions. He has solid experience in technology transfer, new product implementation on production scale and new food factory commissioning in Asia, Europe and South America.
